Carl Rosa Opera’s main priorities have always been to create accessibility through artistic excellence and to make opera and musical theatre accessible to those who would not otherwise experience it, with performances sung in the English language, educational workshops and post-show discussions further increasing accessibility and understanding.
A complimentary objective has always been to train and educate young performers, by enabling them to work alongside established soloists and musicians in a touring environment.
We would very much appreciate anyone who has information about past relatives and family members who worked with, or were associated to, the original Carl Rosa Opera, pre 1969, to please send us copies of any information you have as we can build and expand upon our archive.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources to supply any information to those seeking details on past performers. We receive several requests a week, and we presently are unable to deal with these without an archivist.
